"You have not lived if you have not been to the Great Wall", or so the Chinese saying goes, and it's not surprising why! The Great Wall of China has been voted one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, as well as being one of the only man made monuments that can be seen from space. Stretching for 6,000km, the Great Wall zig zags its way across China, snaking across mountains and through valleys. China Great Wall Trek is a fantastic 5 day trek along this awesome manmade structure. The trek takes us over watch towers and mountains, through historic battlement stations that are well off the tourist trail - there are many sections during this challenge where we'll feel the Great Wall is for us only, with no-one else in sight. Rest assured, the Great Wall provides a fantastic back drop to some fantastic trekking. Following the challenge, we'll have some free time to explore Beijing's famous sites, such as the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square before celebrating with a special celebratory dinner.
